Sherry Chris, President and CEO
Sherry Chris was appointed president and CEO of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC in October of 2007. Her appointment followed Realogy’s announcement that it had entered into a 50-year agreement with Meredith Corporation, with a renewal option for another 50 years, to license the Better Homes and Gardens® name to launch a new and dynamic global residential real estate brand.
Sherry has more than 30 years of real estate experience, including, significant senior management positions in the areas of sales, marketing, new technologies, and franchise management. A native of Canada, she began her real estate career in Ontario and held increasingly senior positions with Royal LePage for 16 years before taking on executive roles within notable US brokerages. She joined Realogy in 2006 as Chief Operating Officer for Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC.
Well-known for her innovative thinking, next generation consumer insights and idea sharing in an effort to move the industry forward, Sherry is a frequently sought after speaker at international real estate and technology conferences. She is also recurrently featured by national media outlets such as FOX Business and CNBC for her insights into industry reports and trends.
Sherry serves on the advisory boards for Realtor.com and Zillow and has been part of a number of industry and technology-related advisory boards, including Trulia and Google Real Estate. In addition, she is the vice chair of the national board of directors at the non-profit organization, Rebuilding Together and vice chair of the real estate services advisory board at NAR.
In 2013 Sherry was named to the Swanepoel Power 200 list, recognized for the fourth consecutive year as Inman’s 100 Most Influential Real Estate Leaders and honored among the elite group of Women Worth Watching by Profiles in Diversity Journal. Sherry was named Inman Innovator of the Year in 2010, a prestigious and coveted award that honors individuals who have demonstrated exceptional vision and foresight in using innovation to enhance the real estate experience for consumers, real estate brokers and agents. She also received the 2010 Stevie Award for Best Executive in the Stevie Awards for Women in Business. Sherry recognizes the power of engaging with businesses and consumers through emerging media channels – making her the most followed CEO of a national real estate brand on Twitter.
Sherry is a graduate of The University of Western Ontario and earned an MBA from the Ivey School of Business.
Daniel Dannenmann is the Chief Operating Officer for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate.
Daniel is responsible for leading transformational initiatives across the brand’s network and overseeing all aspects of domestic and international business operations, including servicing, financial management and collaboration with the brand’s franchise sales team.
Before joining Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, he served as the Vice President of Global Strategy and Global Human Resources at BARE International, where he led global strategic planning for the business’s Asian Pacific focus on new technologies, process optimization and organizational development. He also held roles at leading hospitality brands, including Dolce Hotels and Resorts, Wyndham Hotel Group and Marriott International.
Born in Germany, Daniel brings a unique perspective and wealth of experience to Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate as it further expands its franchise operations domestically and internationally.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Florida and earned an MBA from Clemson University.
Jennifer Marchetti, Chief Marketing Officer
Jennifer Marchetti is the Chief Marketing Officer for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC and leads the teams responsible for brand marketing strategy, direct marketing, online marketing, franchise sales marketing, and communications.
Prior to joining Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Jennifer was Wyndham Worldwide’s Vice President of Marketing and Innovation for the Wyndham Family of Brands, where she was responsible for strategic planning, global marketing, loyalty marketing, and e-commerce strategies for the Wyndham Hotels and Resorts®, TRYP by Wyndham®, Wingate by Wyndham®, and Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham® brands. Jennifer spent nine years with Wyndham Worldwide and its parent company, Cendant Corporation. During her tenure, she held other positions including Director of Marketing for Cendant Preferred Alliance and Senior Director of Strategy at Wyndham Hotel Group.
Jennifer began her career as the Director of Corporate Communications with Trilogy, Inc., a privately-held software company based in Austin, Texas. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Duke University with a minor in Art History.
Vice President, Platform Development
Amy Chorew was appointed Vice President of Platform Development for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate LLC in March 2012, and is responsible for growing the brand’s educational training platform as well as creating and expanding innovative agent tools and technologies offered to the brand’s network.
Amy has more than 30 years of real estate experience, including roles in sales, marketing and training. Since 2000, Amy has been on the national speaking circuit teaching industry professionals about technology strategies to help improve their business.
In addition to writing four books on the topic of social media for the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), she also co-authored the NAR e-Pro® certification curriculum, which is designed to educate real estate professionals on social media technologies and e-office strategies. Amy is the founder and former CEO of The Tech Byte, an education company specializing in coaching and consulting with real estate firms about using technology in their day-to-day operations.
Amy is an active member of several industry organizations including the Women’s Council of REALTORS® and the American Society for Training and Development. She is also a frequent contributor to state and national real estate association publications.
